The Deliberative Democracy Consortium and the Democracy Imperative are hosting a national conference at the University of New Hampshire entitled “No Better Time: Promising Opportunities in Deliberative Democracy for Educators and Practitioners” from July 8-11, 2009. The primary goal of No Better Time is to examine developments in civic engagement and citizen participation and to consider future directions for educators and practitioners in teaching, research, and in citizen-centered initiatives.
