The Mayor of Kansas City has launched an city-wide, Education Summit Initiative to engage citizens, parents, and stakeholders in a dialogue about how to provide a high quality education to all children living in the city, whether attending public, charter, private, parochial, or home schools. AmericaSpeaks is working with the Mayor’s office and a large civic and community advisory board this summer for Phase 1 of this initiative. Phase 1 will engage hundreds to determine the best ways to frame a set of critical education-related issues for a large education summit that will occur in Phase 2 of the project.
