V. The Process
Work to be Done by Common Sense California
Four main activities will encompass the work of Common Sense of California:
- Stimulate Dialogue. Help inform Californians and to engage them in serious dialogue about the problems and opportunities facing our state and the public and private actions that need to be taken
- Change the Public Debate. Based on the results of dialogues with average Californians, shift the center of gravity of the public debate to a clearer focus on the future of California
- Incubate Action/Work with Partners. Make common cause with those organizations and institutions who support the "common sense" of informed Californians and who are ready to work at implementing solutions
- Promote accountability. Hold public officials, especially at the state level, accountable to use their power and influence to improve the future prospects of our state.
